Stuttgart/Hamburg, 23 June 2025 – S-Payment, the payment competence centre of the Sparkasse Finance Group, and ePages, Europe’s leading provider of cloud-based commerce solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), are launching a strategic partnership to drive digitalisation in retail. Effective immediately, all Sparkasse institutions across Germany can offer their business and commercial customers the new website builder “S-WebSolutions”. This enables them to support small and medium-sized businesses on their path to digitalisation and provide various solutions for a quick entry into online retail.
“S-WebSolutions” includes the two products “S-WebSite” and “S-WebShop”, which ePages has developed specifically for the needs of brick-and-mortar retail. With “S-WebSite”, small and medium-sized businesses can build a strong online presence, increase visibility, make their products and services available to customers around the clock, and reach new customer groups far beyond their regional market. With “S-WebShop”, even small retailers can now offer their product range online at moderate cost and increase their revenue.
With the use of the new ePages Copilot, an AI-powered setup assistant, businesses can create a professional website or webshop in just a few clicks. Retailers can start with a cost-effective website that already enables product listings. If needed, this can easily be expanded into a fully featured online shop with a shopping basket function and integrated payment options at the click of a mouse.
The cross-border features integrated by ePages also enable small retailers to ship their goods across Europe and automatically translate their product and service offerings into up to eleven languages. This allows providers of highly specialised product ranges to become less dependent on national demand fluctuations and expand their business across borders. Additional B2B modules also enable the handling of more complex orders from business customers, which often involve individual conditions.
“Our partnership with ePages enables us to effectively guide our business customers’ previously largely regional retail activities into the digital world,” emphasises Christian Plaza Bartsch, Managing Director of S-Payment. “With S-WebSite and S-WebShop, we offer new tailored solutions for our customers that simplify entry into e-commerce while ensuring long-term viability.”
“With this new partnership, we directly reach hundreds of thousands of small and medium-sized Sparkasse business customers,” explains Wilfried Beeck, CEO of ePages. “We can support them in digitising their business processes easily and cost-effectively and in offering their products beyond regional markets or even internationally. With new integrated AI features, such as automatic translations, entirely new growth opportunities are opening up for regional retail.”
